Paradox Albino
Boa constrictor
Since the year 2003 we've got information that so called Paradox Albinos rarely appear in our Sharp Albino lines. These are albinos with irregular dark pigment. Some animals look as if strewn with black powder, some have whole parts of bodies in the original, natural colour. First animal of this kind appeared in the year 2001 in Germany, but is was a female and we don't yet know whether she was used for breeding and with what results. We managed to get a pair of these rare boas for our breed. The female was born 4/2005, the male 1/2006. They each come from different breeder, but they both origin from our boas. We're in contact with the breeders in who's breeds they have appeared and we are planning to extend our group with more paradox boas. After the genes are checked, we expect a great expand of interest in this variant. In the future breed we can expect absolutely unique animals – of different transient types – so called combined albinos, and with regard to the fact that this is an unknown combination of different gene “faults” we can look forward to more unexpected surprises.
