Spider
Python regius
Very well known form of Regiuses, nowadays quite accessible even for local breeders. It's a co-dominant form, so even when crossed with a naturally coloured Python you get 1 Spiders in the first generation. On one hand, it is not used for the creation of the “superform”, because doubling the “spider” gene tends to cause health problems (of neuropathological sort). On the other hand, it is the source of fantastic colour forms in combination with other forms, with Pastel it gives Bumble Bee, with superpastel Killer Bee, with Ghost Honey Bee etc. Not all of the possibilities have been tried there are definitely various surprises awaiting us. We're breeding an adult pair and during the year 2007, we're expecting not only Spiders, but maybe even Bumble Bees. PHOTOGALERY Spider Python regius
